Postpartum Meditation and Mindfulness

Welcome me back! Haha, I am motherhooding hard core but wanted to take a few moments to check in (so excuse any grammatical errors). I have birthed a child, and gone through an incredible transformation! I'm going to share what Mindfulness, and Meditations I used to help me get through (Qigong will be in the next blog).

Raging hormones anyone? That's what my life was like after birthing a boy. PTSD magnified exponentially. Only you know what truly works for yourself, but meditation and breath work is always a great place to start.

Just stopping in that very moment, whatever you are doing (of course baby is safe first), to completely check in with yourself. You can stand or sit. All you need to do is close your eyes, and let your body breath completely to release tension. It is a conscious process, and you must maintain focus on your alignment within yourself. At this point, ask what you need to know right now? A lot of times I would align to source energy, and receive messages that way. It's important to let go of the tension, buildup, waste, and all things that are not serving you... on a regular basis.

Mindfulness that helped me get through the toughest times, when my support wasn't available, I asked my wallflower friend. Wallflower friend knows everything about you, especially about your current situation. It's a great way to hear encouragement from yourself, that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Other phrases that cut to the chase when you're feeling the stress creeping in again.

"You are capable and know your resources."

"You are more than enough, just as you are. You are worthy of what is in your heart"

"Best thing I can do is be present "

"I can not guarantee an outcome, I am trying my best, and use critical thinking when needed."

"What can I expect to be part of the process?"

"It's not a pass/fail situation, give yourself credit for the stuff you are taking for granted."

That's all I have time for now, and hope that helps in some way!

Love Always,

Crystal M
