Using Affirmations and Gratitude for Wellness

Reprieve your self punishment.

When I joined the military self abuse and punishment were a typical of attributes of my comrades. I saw the purpose for it in that environment but when I returned home I learned to dismantle it. I know this type of behavior worsens multiple sclerosis, anxiety, and depression. One way I built a new behavior and lifestyle was to remind myself daily of the type of person and lifestyle I felt deep within. Affirmations and gratitude became my daily reminder of who I really am, and helped change self abuse into self love.

There are many reasons and ways people self abuse. I understand some feel there is a part of them that thinks they are unworthy of whatsoever they want. Contrarily, there is part of you that is always showing you that you are worthy. Setbacks may feed the unworthiness self-talk. Instead learn to become tolerant of setbacks. My self abuse is apparent when I choose to constantly overwhelm myself. Here are some affirmations to combat self abuse, recover, and a reminder of the part of you that knows you are worthy.

I choose and am grateful to maintain a healthy amount of growth and taking chances.

I choose and am grateful to take care of myself and allow joy in my life.

I choose and am grateful to experience and express my freedom of who I am, and support others to do the same.

I allow and am grateful to experience recovery and recognition of my successes.

I allow creativity in my life, and am grateful to feel the joy of creating my art for myself and others.

I am grateful to share and experience the flow of universal energy, life, and the laws of nature.

I am grateful I am courageous and am strong for myself and others.

I am grateful I treat myself and others well and with respect.

I am grateful I feel self love.

I am grateful I choose to see I am worthy of happiness and wellness.

I encourage you to copy and paste, as well as substitute unique words that suit you. For example, I am an artist and wellness coach so my affirmations touch on that. What are your life goals and career pursuits? Lastly, the most important thing in all of this is to FEEL it as if it’s really happening. For example for MS recovery, I feel myself physically shaking the hands of my doctors as we congratulate each other on this success we achieved together. I burst into tears every time, and that shows me how powerful it is. Use your emotions as a radar for the most powerful affirmations and use it to catalyze results.

One way I built a new behavior and lifestyle was to remind myself daily of the type of person and lifestyle I felt deep within. Affirmations and gratitude became my daily reminder of who I really am, and helped change self abuse into self love. Please share results in a comment or write me an email! Your success is my success, and we need to support each other in all the amazing things we create in our lives.
