One Way to Manage Life Stress

Give yourself the right ingredients, environment and experiences. Create a space where you can accomplish the things you set out to do. Time and life circumstances change constantly, meaning a likely chance of stress. Time and stress management are an important part of recovery with any illness or life circumstance.
Have you ever looked at yourself like vehicle?
What kind of vehicle? Truck, boat, train?
What’s your speed in life? Accelerated, slow, screeching halt?

What’s your route? Beautiful scenery, turbulent weather or extreme terrain, a clear path?
Asking yourself questions helps makes sense of all the information coming in without getting overloaded. Feeling overloaded can turn the brain off to solutions.
Are you living in a culture that breeds fast-paced life?
It’s important to allow and plan for down time. This kind of environment allows easier communication with the body’s natural intelligence which helps solutions surface. Slowing down is the action to active listening, and allows you to see a clearer path. If you feel like your are a “runaway locomotive”, “burning at both ends” or never finish your to-do list. Your plan of action is to slow down :D

How do I slow down?
My personal story still includes slowing down because managing a chronic illness can throw in some crazy life circumstances! Unpredictability is the nature of the Multiple Sclerosis game. Slowing down enough to breathe is always a great place to start. Allowing yourself to release tension by sitting or laying. This may be all you need or you can ask yourself a simple question.
What do I need right now to support myself?
Give yourself the right ingredients, environment and experiences. This creates the space you need to accomplish the things you set out to do. Time and life circumstances change constantly, meaning a likely chance of stress. Time and stress management are an important part of recovery with any illness or life circumstance. Allow yourself to be open to receive what you need right now to support yourself.
