Free & Powerful; Using Mindfulness to Transform Anxiety

Use meditation and qigong to feel free and powerful

After my military career and recovering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Multiple Sclerosis I started my own wellness company. I have experienced anxiety before yet becoming a business owner with public speaking, teaching classes, and being visible for google searches took it to a whole new level. Anxiety serves a purpose. Personally, I feel the antidote to performance and stress anxiety is trusting and believing in yourself. Preparation can help but nothing will soothe your anxiety more than just having the confidence. I am going to share a short, daily meditation that will help strengthen your confidence by building a strong line of communication with yourself.

Where does confidence and trust come from- Do you think people are born with it? Social Psychologist Amy Cuddy made the statement, “Don’t fake it until you make it, Fake it until you become it” Confidence is built, and we must put in the hours. I would not have been able to get up everyday, and do all the scary things required of me to be a successful business if I didn’t remind myself everyday that I could.

Life is full of distractions. If I allowed myself to get caught up in the distractions I would become more anxious, unhappy, and lose my calm nature. This meditation helped me focus on my goal for the day, especially when anxiety popped in my head. Listening to anxiety as if it has important messages to share helps. Listen like a caring friend, then take the courage to pursue your biggest dreams anyways. That is my hope for you. You may experience uncomfortable feelings throughout your life but with proper posture and breath, qigong, and meditation you can overcome and achieve anything!

This meditation helped me align with my goals. My deepest, most powerful goals, which gives me strength to continue despite anxiety or any other limitations. Being aligned with my goal and why I am doing it made tasks easier to finish. Your deeper motivations are huge, and sometimes takes years to discover. You don’t have to figure that out today- Just have fun, explore, and feel loved! Most importantly, do it for yourself because we all deserve to feel loved and accepted for no reason! This meditation will help you form a louder line of communication with yourself than the anxiety.
