What is Qigong; Qigong for Health, Mindset, and Recovery

Qigong, sounds like “CHEE GONG”, is a great complementary, alternative, and preventative approach to conventional medicine. Qigong originated from China between 4000 to 5000 years ago, since then accumulated evidence of benefit of practice. It is considered a “Mind-Body Exercise”, a part of “Complementary and Alternative Medicine” or CAM practices.
It’s a bio-energetic exercise, meaning it is not just physical but brings attention to the movement and communication of energy in your body. Slow, movement-based and meditative in nature, Qigong offers more than just stretching but a chance to reconnect on the deepest, and largest level within yourself and your environment. At any stage in practice, it's important to listen to your body, and continually be mindful of your posture, breathing, and intention.
Becoming certified in Qigong was one of the smartest decisions I have ever made, and I truly feel it saved my life. Qigong helped me “find myself again”, when I became diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder after my military experience of war in Iraq. I sought Qigong training to just heal myself. My doctors state the multiple sclerosis is not only stable but I am showing “recovery”. Qigong helped my doctors understand what was going on in my body, and helped me understand and process the mental and emotional stress of my current situation.
Using Qigong with conventional medicine provides full coverage, comprehensive, powerful healing and structural realignment in all areas of the body, especially emotional support. "The emotional dimension had the biggest effect - improving physical symptoms, such as fatigue and pain, reducing feelings of anxiety and depression, and improving quality of relationships and social involvement (Mayo Clinic, Searching for What Matters; Spirituality and Cancer, February 2016)."
Qigong, sounds like “CHEE GONG”, is a great complementary, alternative, and preventative approach to conventional medicine. Gain physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual fitness through Qigong. It is a comprehensive approach to life, to find yourself in the midst of chaos and change. Lend yourself a loving hand by adopting Qigong in your life.
